Barry Jenkins

Barry Jenkins was one of the most dominant pitchers in NAIA Region 16 in 1977 and 1978. The 6-4, 190-pound right-hander produced a 14-8 record over those two seasons, and ranks fourth in school history in career earned run average (2.45) and ninth in innings pitched (161 2/3). Jenkins' senior season ranks as one of the finest in Missouri Southern diamond history, as he posted a 9-2 record with a 2.54 ERA in 14 starts. That season he struck out 73 batters in 88 2/3 innings (both of which place him seventh on the Lions' single-season charts), and was named first team All-District 16 and All-Area 4. Jenkins was also named to the NAIA World Series All-Tournament team after helping Southern to a second-place finish. He currently resides in O'Fallon, Mo.
