Busken was a starting wide receiver on MSSC’s 1972 NAIA National Championship squad and was named team MVP in 1973 after leading the Lions in receiving for the second consecutive season with then school record totals of 45 catches for 682 yards. He ended his three-year career in 1974 as the school’s all-time leader in receptions (95) and receiving yardage (1,409).
