Steve Carlton
Steve Carlton – Carlton was one of MSSC’s first four year letterwinners in baseball. He was name the Lions’ outstanding player as a senior in 1976 after compiling a 6-3 record and a 1.36 ERA, with 83 strikeouts in 72 2/3 innings of work. Carlton broke the school records at the time for most strikeouts in a game (16), season (83), career (158) and lowest ERA in a season (1.36). Carlton is currently a judge in Jasper County.
