Warren Turner

Turner led the Lions on the diamond for 30 years and ranks as one of the all-time winningest coaches in the NCAA Division II level with an 857-723-3 record. He guided the Lions to four divisional titles, seven district/conference crowns, five area/regional championships and five World Series appearances, highlighted by second-place finishes at the 1978 NAIA and 1991 NCAA-II National Tournaments. He has received numerous coaching awards during his career, including NAIA national coach-of-the year honors in 1978, NCAA Regional Coach of the Year in 1991 and 1992, the NAIA district coach of the year in 1978, 85, 86, and 87. Three time conference Coach of the Year, once in CSIC and twice in the MIAA.

Turner has also been inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame (2014), the MIAA Hall of Fame (2013), NAIA Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame (2004), and the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame (2008). He currently assists USA Baseball and the NCAA Division-I Baseball Committee.
